Timberland s Commerce And Justice Values Based Strategy

#1 What motivates Timberland to increasingly engage in socially-oriented activities? How do you view Timberland’s Commerce and Justice values-based strategy? (The term strategy simply means how the company is directing initiatives within to achieve its objectives). The factual statements of today’s poverty population are Timberlands leading factor in increasingly engaging in making communities benefit from Timberlands business. A strong community and a decreasing poverty line is one of timberlands priority values. When he was talking with the cofounder of City Year (Alan Khazei), he said â€Å"you are doing the things with your life that I dream about doing with mine. You are out there actually saving lives. I am making boots, but I have always wanted to save lives.†. Stating that he has always had a want to help people, he decided to try it out. After dedicating a service day for timberland employees to help the community, he said he felt powerful and that he wanted to see more of these community-building actions achieved at Timberland. I view the majority of Timberlands commerce and justice value-based strategies as efficient with socially moral intentions. Timberlands efforts to imply the values of their company on their workers paid off. When they introduced they paid leave for hour of voluntary service concept, it produced new opportunities of growth in the community service category.
